Background and Introduction.
Aba Health Services, Inc. (ABA). ABA was established in 2002 to provide Community Outpatient Mental Health Services – OMHC and PRP in Baltimore City and surrounding areas. ABA provides diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and support to individuals to develop and enhance community and independent living skills.
Governing Body.
The governing body (Board of Directors) is responsible for establishing policy, maintaining quality of care, and providing management and planning for the program. ABA has a chief executive officer, a deputy, and five directors for its four programs and administration.
Philisophy.
The philosophy of ABA is that mental health problems are public health problems and by providing certain public health support to a predisposed individual and family in their community, that the individual could improve and become an effective and contributing member of the community. Towards the management of their health, people have the right and duty to participate individually and collectively in the planning and implementation of their health care.
Mission.The Mission of ABA is to provide quality health care services that enable individuals to restore and maintain their health status and attain optimum human dignity. ABA intends to achieve its mission by establishing mental health centers, providing treatment, providing services that reduce predisposing factors to psychiatric problems, education, and in some cases acting in loco parentes (in place of parents). ABA is committed to delivering quality services to our community in an effective, responsive and professional manner. The men and women of ABA are dedicated to service excellence through planning and implementation of Outpatient Mental Health Center (OMHC), Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP), and Substance Abuse treatment that the clients and families have the right and duty to participate in, individually and or collectively.
Services are targeted to children, adolescents, and adults. Aba Health Services. Services are by appointment only. Aba Health Services is an agency that provides Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC), Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP), Psychological Testing, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS); Substance Abuse Treatment application is pending. ABA will provides diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and support to individuals to develop, enhance community and independent living skills. ABA applies public health principles in the delivery of mental health services. Services are onsite at the office and in the community (home, on the job, school, etc.) services are by arrangement and as appropriate. ABA encourages consumers, family members, significant other, and advocacy groups to participate in assessing, planning, and monitoring the mental health and substance abuse services being provided. ABA is committed to working with the Baltimore Mental Health Systems, Value Options, Maryland Mental Health Administration, advocacy groups, in serving the mental health and substance abuse needs of the community. Prior to providing services ABA seeks authorization from payors.
The procedure at ABA is referral, authorization, admission, screening assessment, psychiatrist visit, psychosocial assessment (comprehensive assessment), treatment plan, treatment, rehabilitation, and discharge as appropriate. ABA uses the medical model. Admission into each program (OMHC, PRP, Drug and Alcohol) follows the COMAR for each program and established medical necessity criteria.

- Psychologists (PHD)
- Master of Business Adminstration (MBA)
- Registered Nurses (RN)
- Clinicians: social workers, counselors
All the social workers and counselors hold a minimum of masters degrees and state board licenses. We are proud for assembling a very high caliber work force.
